Will the genomics revolution finally solve the Salmo systematics?

چکیده
On one hand, studies on Salmo biological variations during the last centuries have led to morphological description of several species (> 50). other trutta is seen as a polymorphic species, i.e. including populations with different morphotypes and ecotypes, subdivided into nine genetically divergent evolutionary lineages. For 30 years, phylogeographic phylogenetic investigations tried solve systematic problem using mitochondrial control region, sometimes combined (e.g. protein-coding region or rRNA genes) nuclear allozymes microsatellites) markers. With advent high-throughput next-generation sequencing, complete mitogenomes were made available for studies. Even better, genome chromosomes annotations well genes interest can now be loaded from public database. However, in genomic era, some challenges still need addressed such an appropriate taxon sampling identification orthologous before having accurate phylogeny. In present review, I examine how traditional molecular markers contributed our knowledge trout systematics, what we expect genomics revolution.

The genomics revolution and radiotherapy.
The expansion of our knowledge through the Human Genome Project has been accompanied by the development of new high-throughput techniques, which provide extensive capabilities for the analysis of a large number of genes or the whole genome. These assays can be carried out in various clinical samples at the DNA (genome), RNA (transcriptome) or protein (proteome) level. There is a belief that thi...

As plant biologists enter a new era in which comparative genomics promises to address fundamental questions in botany, such as unraveling metabolic and regulatory networks, the inestimable value and usefulness of robust systematic studies quickly become clear. In simplest terms, systematic studies can indicate which genomes in the plant kingdom to search, sample, and study for the answers to qu...

152 GLOBAL AGENDA 2003 genome is not an end in itself, merely the end of the beginning – and the start of the next exciting chapter in genomics and genetics. Already the availability of genetic and physical maps produced by the HGP has dramatically accelerated the successful identification of genes involved in relatively rare, single-gene disorders. The next challenge is to apply information ab...
